Senior Discounts for Kids? You bet!
Share your savings with kids in need
’Tis the season for sharing blessings. Thanks to generous area seniors and a partnership between local non-profit organizations SAGE (Senior Advocates for Generational Equity) and Neighborhood House, these holidays are being made a little brighter for some local kids and families in need. It all starts with your senior discounts!
Not all seniors need their discounts. Thousands of at-risk kids need help. What can you do? Donate your senior discounts! And thanks to a terrific new smartphone app called Boomerang Giving, it couldn’t be easier! Here’s a short video that walks you through the process:

Each year, businesses offer millions of dollars in senior discounts at grocery stores, movies, and more. Many seniors do not need them, fail to ask for them, or do not know they exist. A lot of money is left on the table!
This school year, SAGE and Boomerang Giving are making it possible to donate your senior discount to Neighborhood House.Your donation is tax-deductible, and 100% of it will be used for educational support and healthy meals to help at-risk students succeed in school.
Together, we can leverage these small discounts to fund programs that help children. When you donate $2.00 in savings from your grocer, Neighborhood House can serve a healthy meal to a student. Add that donation to savings from the movies, transit and more, and we can make a huge collective impact.
